Thunderbirds dominate; still fall short to Vikings

Despite outshooting Lyndon 47-22 in Monday’s game on the road, the Missisquoi boys hockey team still fell short on the scoreboard.

Despite doing a good job getting pucks on net, the Thunderbirds only put one puck in the back of the net in a 2-1 loss to the Vikings.

Cam Gagne made 21 saves in net for Missisquoi, who started a three game stretch in six days.

Ian Walsh scored the lone goal for the Thunderbirds on an assist by Brenden Bessette in the second period.

The Thunderbirds fell to 8-9-1 on the season and will be back in action Wednesday when they head to Burlington.
