After not putting too much pressure on net against Harwood last Saturday, the Missisquoi boys hockey team has started to find ways to get pucks to the net in the last two games.
After putting over 40 shots on net in a loss to Lyndon on Monday, the Thunderbirds’ pressure paid off Wednesday when they had 52 shots in a 5-4 overtime win.
Brendan Bessette evened things up late in the third before getting the winner in overtime.
Timmy Fournier, Sean Burke and Mitchell Boudreau also had tallies for the Thunderbirds, while Cam Gagne ended the game with 24 saves.
The Thunderbirds improved to 9-9-1 and hosts Milton on Saturday for their regular-season finale.
