About

My name is Anthony Labor and I am starting this site back up to provide local sports coverage in the Franklin County area. I started this concept a few years ago, but my work schedule changed, so I had to stop posting on this site. With COVID-19 regulations making it so fans won’t be able to attend local sports this winter, I figured this might be a good time to get things back up and running. This site is free to everyone. I am going to have to start slow getting this back up and running and doing everything by myself. As of February 9, I am going to be covering BFA-St. Albans, MVU and BFA-Fairfax. I’m hoping once things get kicked off and by the time the season comes around, I will have my feet under me and the season starts to take shape, I will be able to spread the coverage out a little more.

I was born and raised in St. Albans and was always a huge sports fan. I started to write as a sports freelancer for the St. Albans Messenger when I was 16-years-old and then went on to get my Journalism Degree from the University of New Hampshire.  After graduating in May of 2012, I went to work for the Eagle Times in Claremont, New Hampshire and was promoted to sports editor by October of 2012. Unfortunately, due to financial reasons, I had to leave my full-time job and move back to St. Albans where I now work for a railroad company in St. Albans, but have been back working as a freelancer with the Messenger since I moved back in 2015.

There is already great coverage of sports in Franklin County, but I wanted to provide yet another outlet for the community. If any readers have any story ideas they would like me to pursue, my email is Anthony.Labor61@gmail.com and can follow me on Twitter @AnthonyLabor
